Rechargeable Battery Table Lamps
Okay hear me out- my job as a wedding planner included keeping track of the guest experience at a wedding. We are absolutely in it for the couple and the VIP guest, but every guest should have the night of their life celebrating you two as well! When I see pain points come up more than once I know it’s my job to see what I can do to guide couples to eliminate that from their own wedding, or expand my emergency kit.
One spot that always seemed lacking was setting up the guest book and bar signs with enough light on them throughout the evening so guests could read them the entire night. No matter your venue, there will always be low-light spots at a wedding because you are setting the room lights for the atmosphere, and chances are it will be near the bar and guest book signs. As soon as I saw these types of lamps become more accessible I jumped right on the train and got a set of two for my own stash and I have used them at every wedding since!
Let me count the places my two lamps have been used this year alone:
- the bar with the bar signs
- by the guest book
- parent tables for added light to make them more comfortable
- by a temporary tattoo station
- styled at a cigar and whiskey lounge at an after-party
- setting additional low light in lounges at an after-party
- outdoor lounges
- dessert table in a low-light area
The possibilities are truly endless! Better yet, since I bought my set for my emergency kit more styles have been released. So let me break down a few of my favorites…
The Workhorse
I am starting off with the set that I purchased! These easily versatile lamps have been out at all my weddings this year. I found that adding a ribbon in the couple’s color palette softened the look and filled out any vignette I was styling. Better yet, these are not available in more color options than ever!

For Formal Events
This next option has been one I have loved for a while and I have just purchased a set after discovering just how much you can use these lamps. I love the gold base but the big one for me is the fabric shade which disperses the light better and makes the lamp look much more refined, especially for more formal weddings. I think my favorite use of these so far was when Chrysa Leigh hosted an outdoor dinner and these ran the length of the table with an abundance of hydrangeas- not a candle in sight! The result was incredibly effective and core memories were made around this table.
